The twelve
All twelve are confirmed. Groups for the four full rounds are set as numbers, Athlete 1 to 12, built to spread who plays with whom and who goes off last. Names get mapped to numbers closer to the date. Shorty\u2019s is still unassigned.

Routings
How the trip is reachable from New York. Reference for anyone still booking \u2014 none of these is held.
- Walking, bags and caddies
- Every course is walking only. No carts, no exceptions. Bring a carry bag with a stand, under 25 lbs — anything heavier gets swapped out at the shop. Request caddies ahead of the trip. One caddie usually carries two bags and caddies stay with you the whole visit. Caddie services: (541) 347-5909.
- What to carry in cash
- The posted fee is $125 per bag per round, paid directly to the caddie — held flat from 2025 through 2026, so assume some escalation by 2027. Budget $150 plus a $50 tip: $200 per man per round, so about $800 in cash for the four full rounds. The four playing Old Macdonald on Thursday should carry $1,000. Shorty’s takes no caddies. The golf shop will charge caddie cash to your room if you would rather not fly with it.
- Green fees
- $375 a round, the rate the deposit was struck at, and the same on all five 18-hole courses. Friday is a same-day second round, so Sheep Ranch should bill at 50% — $187.50, not $375. That is about $2,250 across the group, and it is not automatic: confirm with reservations that the Friday afternoon round is coded as a replay. Per man that makes $375 + $187.50 + $375 + $375 = $1,312.50, or $15,750 for twelve. Old Macdonald on Thursday is a fifth round for four players only — $375 each, $1,500 more. Shorty’s is a flat rate with no replay discount. The deposit covered one round each, so the rest lands at check-out.
- Weather
- Coastal June. Fog burning off late morning, 55 to 65, wind up in the afternoon. Bring rain gear whatever the forecast says.
- Daylight
- Rooms
- Six Lily Pond doubles, two to a room, all booked under Jack Barone. In 4:00 pm Thu 6/10, out 11:00 am Sun 6/13 — three nights only. $510 a night, so $9,180 in room charges before tax and fees. Deposit of $7,560 is already down. Confirmations R131750.1 through R131750.6.
- Pairings
- The foursomes for the four full rounds are set as numbers rather than names, and they are not arbitrary. They are built to spread who plays with whom: across the four rounds every man gets nine different playing partners out of eleven, no two men are ever grouped three times, and eleven of the twelve go off last at least once. Fifty-four of the sixty-six possible pairings happen. That is the mathematical maximum for twelve players in three foursomes over four rounds — it cannot be improved on, only broken. Names get mapped to numbers closer to the date, and most requests can be met by moving a name to a different number rather than rebuilding the groups.
Two things carried forward as a starting point. If the Thursday Old Macdonald round goes ahead, Severson is Athlete 2 and Grant is Athlete 3. If the two open seats on it get filled, the right numbers are 6 and 11 — those four have no overlap anywhere else in the week, so Thursday adds four combinations the trip does not otherwise contain. - Change deadline
- Adjustments and cancellations must be in at least 60 days ahead — Sunday, April 11, 2027. Miss it and the full deposit is forfeit.
